The Haro Sute version of the new song has been unveiled!
but, as I have mentioned before, due to myself being injured, Juice=Juice’s Miyamoto Karin-chan was asked to substitute in my place.
It being ’15’s first single, during this important time with a new members line up, I injured myself due to my carelessness. I deeply apologize for causing everyone all the trouble and grieve.
However, this time is was all the fault of my own, everyone please don’t think anymore further than this…!
I’m truly thankful for Karin-chan who had to figure out all the dance and position in my stead (;_;)
To taste the flavor of not being able to participate in the MV this time, now that it has been unveiled, has made me reflect on what I have done again.
If there are people who wanted to see me being filmed in it, to these people…
I am truly sorry.
I will reflect and will be careful on my day-to-day actions.

Kinda has a point, lol. It’s not even the full version of the video, just the Hello! Station version. Though the reaction I’ve seen is nowhere near as drastic as they make it out to be.
All the ones saying we don’t even pay anything…I’m sorry to burst your bubble but there are a lot of people who do buy idol things, and all the music is put on iTunes as well. There’d be more buyers and more people would buy CDs…but it’s fekking expensive, ya know? I can agree we are not a very important part of the audience in comparison, but we definitely aren’t all pirates and there’s more people who do buy things than the Japanese probably realize.

There are too many things I find wrong/unconvincing with your statement to not point them out.
1. Profits from iTunes are absolute chump change. UF would most likely be completely indifferent to the lose of sales if foreign iTunes took off their songs.
2. It’s expensive? Get over it. The Japanese fans practically empty out their bank accounts any time an event rolls around their neighborhood, let alone larger concerts and what not. If it hurts your wallet to buy what, 5 or 6 CDs every 3-4 months, you should be more focused on your financial well being than idols.
3. It’s not that we’re “not very important”, we are completely irrelevant. No decisions is ever made with the foreign fanbase in mind.
4. You’re right, not all of us are pirates, but at the very absolute least, 51% of us are and majority always rules. As long as H!P is around, the idea of foreigners being nothing but pirates will never fade. The hole has been dug too deep for us to crawl out of it.

When I said decisions, I meant decisions about songs, advertisement, choreography, outfit design, etc. Overseas concerts are like lollipops you give the neighbor kid on occasion because you can while you save all the Swiss chocolate for your children. Plus, the majority of overseas concerts have been done through invitation from 3rd parties, hence no expenses on UF’s side.

Totally agreed. Although there is one thing I’d like to add: Every single H!P concert in America and Europe was a promotion event targeting their own Japanese(!) audience. It’s all about their image back home. And an overseas concert will make for a nice news report in Japan. (And yes, of course, Up-Front did not spend a nickel on any of those concerts, lol!)

From what I see, “the gaijins” blame the unfairness of how Karin get the screen time more than other MM members who usually having a hard time to appear on screen like Zukki, Harunan and Eripon. If Zukki was not absent, I bet she won’t get that much of screen time. The preview from Gyao version is much worse. But I’m quite fine with the H!S version.

Seems to me like the harosute versions are edited quite different from the promo versions so this might change though. Which I really hope it does.
Ayumi merely replaced her member in the dance shot, which just happened to be center position. It would only be fair if Karin got the regular Zukki treatment, she’s in 2 MVs after all. Even giving her the close-ups is overkill imo.

I only think that Japanese has a very different mindset from the rest of the world. They take their responsibilities seriously (what’s the discipline they’re known for?), of their actions and of course, their own selves. So if zukki’s blaming herself, that would be normal (and that they won’t bother blaming others because of that).They only began making it big deals themselves coz we first did also.
But rather than “blaming herself”, the most appropriate words for it in English would be “taking responsibility/ being responsible of it”.

Can someone tell them that the entire world outside of Japan is not just a single location and that, lovely as it is that she has fans, they shouldn’t just assume we are all Kanon fans and that she’s treated any differently than the other girls? Personally, I don’t care about the whole ordeal (hell, I like Karin but let her grow out her damn hair already) but it is understandable why people feel annoyed by having a non-Morning Musume member getting so much screen time in a Morning Musume PV. If it is some sort of punishment to Kanon, it doesn’t make any sense to piss off the rest of the members as well in that regard. Even to the individual herself it seems overly harsh but then again, the Japanese do have this “you need to reflect on your actions and admit to your faults!” mentality. I love you Japan, but your companies are so retarded and obsessed with tradition that any ounce of efficiency is thrown out of the window. Honestly, I think everyone is just overreacting here on both sides. Look it sucks that Zukki couldn’t be in the video. And yes a couple of people have been super pissy about it. But she needed to rest end of story. H!P and Up front is a business, and she just wasn’t there and they had to continue. Even though I feel bad for her and it sucks.
But also, bashing overseas fans is uncalled for. We all care about the same group and support them. And I am sure there is plenty of pirating going on in Japan. Sure we don’t see things eye-to-eye always with the Japanese but that is something called a cultural difference. As a world we need to work past these things and try to understand one another. And honestly, I think music is one of the best things that can serve as a link between cultures.
And also making rude comments about how many foreign fans don’t speak Japanese is quite mean. Not everyone has the means and the talent for learning languages. Plus learning a language takes a long time. I am trying to learn Japanese, but I barely know anything at all. I have to teach myself though because there are no really places for me to learn the language other than my own time and the internet. Besides, at least where I come from (the US), Japanese is a very uncommon language to learn. It isn’t even offered in most schools. Your average person would choose to learn something more frequently needed in my country such as Spanish. Most Americans actually cannot hear Japanese spoken or see Japanese writing and identify it as Japanese. Your average person would say it’s Chinese or “some Asian language”.

Why are zukki fans so emotional, angry and envious? It’s not like she can have much camera time anyway. Zukki will never be a center girl, and her fans are delusional hoping for that. Hard to swallow, but reality is hard.

Honestly, the Karin thing made me disappointed, but not vehemently angry, especially when it really wasn’t the decision the of Karin or Kanon.
It makes me more sad that the Japanese wota have such prejudices against foreign fans. I get that they think we should buy more CD’s/Merchandise (although I buy way more than I should, personally), however the demographic seems to be younger in America. A lot of the fans are teenagers or in college and while this isn’t bad, they have less ability to buy all the CD’s they would like to.
I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to be a fan despite not purchasing their every single release….

Well, YouTube is an international website so it makes no sense to get mad at seeing English comments. Stop uploading shit onto websites like YouTube if you don’t want to see them. Besides, it’s the company’s decision to put subtitles there. I don’t recall international fans ever asking to have them. I swear, some Japanese wota are asshats. They speak as if they own the idols and no one else in the world can see them. What’s worse are the international wota that kiss their asses.

Firstly, I’ll note that I’m more of a Karin fan than a Kanon fan. I don’t have anything negative to say about Kanon- it’s just preference.
I understand Kanon fans being upset at her lack of time in the PV; I understand their disillusionment when faced with the solo shots of Karin. I really get it. I’m an Ikuta Erina fan.
I think we all need to understand that we are talking about a business venture. Like it or not, Karin is much, much more popular than Kanon where it counts- in the pocketbook and in Japan. When presented with an opportunity to push Karin to a wider audience, UF/H!P would be stupid not to capitalize. Along those same lines, they are wasting an opportunity to promote the future of Hello! Project if Karin isn’t given ample screen time and close-up shots. Putting Karin in a PV and not giving her close-ups is practically leaving money on the table. So, in my mind this is not a case of management slapping Zukki in the face; it’s an instance of management capitalizing on an opportunity gifted through unfortunate circumstance. It’s not personal. It’s business.
And, exactly who are management hurting with their promotion of Karin? We already know they think very little of foreign support and fandom. Even if we buy a CD Single or two (or a dozen) from a legal overseas vendor, our purchases will not count on the Oricon charts. Sure, they’re happy to take foreign money, but it won’t affect anything where it counts (Japan).
Are we worried about Kanon? I’m worried about Kanon, too. But, also remember that aside from being talented, she is extremely lucky to have a place in a group like Morning Musume. After spending any amount of time in the fandom, you will see many extremely qualified girls passed up in their audition for the group for seemingly no reason. Kanon knows how lucky she is. She also knows her place in the group. I believe enough in Kanon to think that she has the wisdom to leave the group if the cons ever outweighed the pros.

I’m a Zukki fan and I didn’t get overly emotional about the lack of screen time she had in the videos. Yes I was upset that she didn’t do the close ups but I also know that the company don’t really care about her.
I don’t like what they say about how most of us are pirates. I’m On a low income (lucky to even be able to pay my rent at the moment) and I haven’t been able to buy anything in my own country let alone overseas. I’m trying to save up well over £4000 to go to Japan for two weeks to see the country and its history close up, to watch my idols perform and buy their goods and to tick off a place I want to visit off my bucket list.
I’m trying to learn japanese so that I can read idol blogs and understand their conversations on TV shows/MCs but that also cost money. Some lessons here cost over £500 plus travel to get to the lessons. I’m not good at studying but I’m trying so hard to achieve this goal that when I read negative comments on YouTube/forums I just want to get them to start thinking positive about the little things that we are given.
We are given A kind hearted, talented girl named Suzuki Kanon who is always trying her best even in the face of her own people telling her that she’s not good enough. We shouldn’t be moaning about how unfair things are as life in general is unfair, we should be praising the fact that this girl is bringing smiles to our faces and she is getting to do something she loves. So what if Karin got more screen time then even Riho, that’s the company’s decision, not the girls and the English comments on YouTube haven’t said anything bad about Karin, Hel even I wanted Karin in MM but I’m bald she isn’t as she gets to shine more in a new group with less pressure to live up to its history then the girls in MM.
I wish those who make negative comments on 2ch a happy day and hope that when they are finished being racist and bullying a teenage girl that it’s made their life outside of the Internet that little bit brighter.
