An official guided tour sounds super awesome!!!!111
But before you start throwing money at your screen, allow me to break it down for you with some sense and logic.

The premises

A one day guided tour on March 2nd, 2015 to visit Berryz Koubou related locations + a General admission ticket for Berryz Koubou’s final concert at Nippon Budokan + more

■ Participation requirements:
►No resident in Japan
►No Japanese nationality
NOTE: You have to bring your round trip airline ticket to Japan (e-ticket) at the meeting place. Show your ticket as a proof of your identity. If we cannot confirm your identify with the flight ticket, you will not be able to join the tour and the concert.

To make it clear this special tour is meant for foreign fans living overseas only. Fair enough.

■ Maximum number of participants: 160 (if this number is reached, the registration will be closed)
■ Minimum number of participants: 30

160 people. To be honest, 160 isn’t that big of a number, considering how many fans came out to see Berryz each time they held concerts overseas. Yet, how many fans living outside of Japan can come up with the cash for the trip. I think 160 is a good amount.

A typical bus used for H!P Fan Club bus tours

A bus like this one seats around 54 passengers.
54 x 3 = 162
So three buses for this tour then.

■ Meals furnished:
►Breakfast: none (not included)
►Lunch: one (1) time
►Dinner: one (1) time

Includes 2 meals. Fair enough, but they don’t state what the food will be. On Fan club tours, the food are usually provided by the hotel or ryokan and are of the more traditional Japanese style. There won’t be a hotel stay for this tour so it’s up in the air what food will be served.

■ Tour guide (speaking English and Japanese only) accompanying

English and Japanese only. Unfortunately, with a tour this small in size, it’s impossible to cater to every language. Having it mostly in English is playing it safe and within reason.

NOTE: an employee of the Hello! Project Official Shop will be with the participants during the visit of Berryz Kobo Music Videos location.

This is kinda cool but also odd. An employee of the Hello! Shop will go with you to the MV filming location….. not to discredit people who works at H!P shops, but wouldn’t it make more sense to have a MV director or someone from head office come instead? As far as we’re concern, the H!P shop employee knows as much as the next H!P fan about MV locations from watching DVDs.

■ Price: 33,000 yen (the price of the concert ticket is included / payment by credit card only)

Honestly speaking, 33,000yen is a lot of money for a 1 day bus tour. However, when considering the fact that the price includes a general admission ticket for the final concert, which will be next to impossible to buy, this tour is a dream come true for us overseas fans.

Berryz Koubou final concert in Budokan Fan Club ticket price: 9,300yen

33,000yen – 9,300yen = 23,700yen
That means, 23,700yen for a one day bus tour.

Two lavish meals ~ 4,000yen
One day guided bus tour ride ~ 10,000yen
Getting to check out Berryz Koubou related and MV locations ~ Priceless
For everything else, please bring cash, most places don’t take credit cards orz

Now, the announcement page does go into some details of the tour.

★ Visit of the locations related to Berryz Kobo

What do they mean by locations related to Berryz? Are you taking us to Captain’s house? If so, TAKE MY MONEY, TAKE IT NOW! (They won’t, please don’t quote me!)

☆ Visit of the Berryz Kobo Music Videos locations (4 locations)

So four warehouses?

Last time Berryz had a MV shot outdoors was cha cha SING in 2012. For your information, cha cha SING was filmed in the empty courtyard area between Venus Fort and Toyota Mega Web in Odaiba. You don’t need a guided bus tour to get there. In fact, save yourself the trouble of searching it on Google, I’ve already done it for you, CLICK ME!

“turbos86 is such a hater! Be Genki was shot outside at a pier not publicly accessible in Yokohama. This would be a ultra rare chance to check out such an awesome location!”

Hey guess what

Did you know, there are Japanese fan sites that research and list out locations of where music videos were shot at? Here’s one: http://helloloca.web.fc2.com/

Not to be jerk, it is way easier to be on a guided tour that will take you to the filming locations than trying to go to all the places yourself. Do remember that since the last Berryz PVs/MVs shot outside was in 2012, with others dating back many more years, the locations might have changed in appearance or no longer exist. I don’t want people to get their hopes up and end up disappointed.

☆ Shopping at the Hello! Project Official Shop (in Akihabara, Tokyo)

Wait I take it back, I have to be jerk.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! First of all, you want 33,000yen for your tour and you’re taking people to the Hello! Shop? It’s super easy to find, just a block away from the AKB theater….
Anyway, the Akihabara Hello! Shop is 1000sq ft at most and you want to cram 160 people in it? Hopefully the scheduling for each bus will be different so they can rotate between the different sight seeing spots or else.

☆ Singing time of “my favorite” song

What is this suppose to mean? Is there a Karaoke machine on the bus? Open Karaoke at the H!P shop’s mini stage? 160 foreigners party at BIG ECHO?

Actually, according to the tour information page, singing time will be at a specific gathering location. I have a feeling it will be just like Hello! Party 4, but officially organized by Up-Front.

☆ Practice time of “Cheering methods” (Berryz calls)

*Cough* Excuse me

I’ll stop laughing only if Miya teaches this

1.Berryz Kobo members will not participate at this Bus Tour.

So what does the Japanese wotas think of this?

10 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:37:09.49 0.net
Why are they setting aside seats for foreigners for the very last concerts
Do this for ℃-ute’s Yokohama Arena show instead

14 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:40:38.16 0.net
Practice time of “Cheering methods” LOLOLOLOL

I wonder what ethnicity will the 160 foreign fans be

No way they can gather enough people to join lol

48 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:50:06.84 0.net
It can be done
There’s a privately made fan club in Thailand of a few thousands
When they charged the outrageous price of 12,000yen equivalent for the concert there, they still had over 1000 fans show up

34 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:46:26.35 0.net
Thai 90
Taiwanese 20
French 10
North American 10
South American 10

Like this?

WTF is this, Berryz won’t even make an appearance lol

37 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:46:46.29 0.net
It’s hard enough for us in Japan to get concert tickets for this and they’re giving priorities to foreigners, makes no sense

46 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:49:35.87 0.net
Lots of Koreans will come for this

52 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:51:16.99 0.net
They need to live stream this lolololol

Yeah, if you’re an Olympic athlete

72 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:56:55.74 0.net
I don’t mind the foreign fans coming
They should of have the concert at Saitama Super Arena instead lol

73 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:56:58.75 0.net
They should do this for ℃-ute’s Yokohama Arena show which isn’t selling

89 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 12:59:48.81 0.net
Do this for a Hello! concert or something
Why are you doing this at the last show

105 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:04:37.52 0.net
This cost as much as a monthly salary in Thailand
And travel cost is extra
So only the rich can attend

Foreigner bus tour lololololol

Isn’t this reverse discrimination

114 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:09:12.08 0.net
I’m curious on how the cheering method practice is going to turn out

121 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:12:24.24 0.net
Please broadcast this on TV

123 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:13:42.72 0.net
Isn’t this expensive when it doesn’t include hotel
And you got to set money aside to spend at the Hello! Shop

131 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:15:46.89 0.net
It’s not that bad considering it includes a concert ticket worth 10,000yen
But it does seem expensive, generally speaking

139 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:18:00.46 0.net
Berryz would be too busy with rehearsal, they wouldn’t have time to mingle with them

143 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:18:57.48 0.net
They should at least show up and say hi after rehearsal
It’s the least they can do

149 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:22:01.68 0.net
Instead of letting tickets get in the hands of Japanese resellers
it’s better they give the chance to enthusiastic overseas fans

157 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:25:05.79 0.net
Fans overseas have no way to purchase concert tickets
In the past I’ve seen Thai fans get Budokan tickets with the help of Japanese wotas
Since it’s so difficult even for Japanese people to get tickets for this last show, I think this is a great idea

159 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:26:03.47 0.net
This really is a two day thing, yet hotel is not included
They should be nice and just increase the price by 10,000 to make it all inclusive

161 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:27:01.81 0.net
I agree

178 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:35:16.76 0.net
They better save some good seats for them
People are going to cry if it’s in the nose bleed section

183 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:37:04.28 0.net
That’s exactly why the seats should be good
Would really suck for them, having come all the way here

181 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 13:36:10.76 0.net
Yeah but that would piss off a lot of people here too since it’s the very last show

222 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 14:15:07.06 0.net
I bet it’ll be on J-melo

229 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 14:27:18.56 0.net
Can they even find 30 foreign wotas to join?

230 :名無し募集中。。。@\(^o^)/:2014/12/12(金) 14:30:12.36 0.net
I’m sure 30 is easy, 160 I’m not so certain…

Final word

In my opinion, this bus tour is geared toward Berryz fans who have never set foot in Japan before. However, the fact that it includes a ticket to the final concert is very tempting to even seasoned overseas fans. Michishige Sayumi’s graduation concert was held in Yokohama Arena, which is bigger than Nippon Budokan, and that was very difficult to attain tickets for. There is a chance the tickets included with the bus tour might be pretty bad, but at least you get in. Everything else on this tour should be taken as a bonus. While it’s cool to visit locations where music videos were filmed, it’s just not the same without Berryz there. Those who are interested in this tour should apply ASAP. 160 isn’t that big of a number when you think on a global scale.
